Miss Bobbie started her love for dance at the young age of 3 years. Since then she has danced and competed in the UK, where she was awarded the Tap championship for her school, before moving to Australia and continuing her dance training. In 2008 she participated in Warragul Theatre's rendition of CATS where she was a part of the ensemble. In 2011 she completed her Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management at Boxhill Institute. Following her training she taught at a local dance school and went onto teach dance through Active after school communities, In that time she completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, along with First aid, OHS and Fire warden Training. In 2014 she was awarded Choreographer of the year for her work in Footloose with Latrobe Theatre Company. Miss Bobbie loves seeing all the smiling faces each day and hopes to share her passion for dance with you to help you grow into an amazing young artist.
Miss Jennifer has vast training in Classical dance technique and we feel privileged that she has chosen to share her knowledge with Decipher Dance.
Jennifer studied the Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management at Boxhill also and has a great understanding of safe dance practice principles, anatomy and correct dance technique.
Jennifer has taught with Decipher Dance for 3 Years and we are super excited to have her on board to impart her classical technique with our students. Her kind and gentle nature ensures that each student feels welcome and safe in her class. Swaying from the traditional forms of classical teaching Jennifer likes to mix it up a bit and offer classes to modern music that not only engages the students more but also offers for exciting and innovative choreography. Jennifer cannot wait to share her love of dance, especially classical, with the new ballerinas at Decipher Dance.
Miss Mary is new to the Decipher Dance Team and we are SUPER excited to have her on board. With a wealth of Dance Training and Qualifications Miss Mary is a true asset to the Decipher Dance Team.
Mary began dancing at the age of 3, training in classical, jazz and tap. She enjoyed dancing in competitions both locally and around Melbourne for 14 years, winning multiple awards and scholarships. Mary completed ATOD exams in classical ballet, jazz and tap, and concluded with her Advanced Classical exam in 2011 receiving Honours.
After graduating year 12, Mary went on to complete a year of intensive full-time dance and performing arts training at The Space Dance and Arts Centre in Melbourne. Whilst at The Space she was fortunate to dance in numerous showcases and events such as ‘Dance Cancer Initiative’ and ‘Knowles Gallery Launch’ and had the privilege of being taught by many renowned professionals in the dance and musical theatre industry.
In collaboration with some of her peers at The Space, Mary created and choreographed her own show ‘The Lost Boys’ in the 2014 Fringe Festival which received great reviews. She also danced with artist 360 and Gossling in their music video ‘Price of Fame’.
Her Jazz and Hiphop classes are always packed full of fun, whilst drawing on basic, safe dance technique principles.
Miss Mary is a bundle of fun and light and we are excited to have her around the studio.
She has been teaching for numerous years and cant wait to be part of such an amazing school.
Miss Millie began teaching with Decipher Dance in 2012 and is a dear friend and much loved person around the studio. Her Hiphop style is unique to her and her classes are always fun, upbeat and never short of a few giggles along the way.
Her bubbly nature provides fun year round and you cannot help but smile when in her presence.
Millie has extensive dance training and is a fitness powerhouse. She is a trained and qualified Speech Pathologist and works for a well established company in Melbourne. Her kind and compassionate nature sees that she is a much loved member of her team at work and in the studio.
We are super excited to have Millie back on board!
Miss Jemma started dancing at a young age and has been with Decipher Dance since we opened in 2012, training in all styles of dance. Jemma has trained along side each of our teachers has now began her next stage in her dance career as a Teacher at Decipher Dance. Her passion for dance radiates off her and she is loved by each student she works with. Jemma's care free attitude and bubbly personality is a privilege to have around the studio, she never fails to make us laugh. Jemma has also worked with her high school to choreograph their production of Grease. She is well known for her ability to play scary characters such as Freddy Kruger, Jemma is a ball of energy and a pocket rocket full of fun.
We are very excited to have Miss Kylee on board the teaching tribe here at Decipher Dance.
We are super excited to introduce Miss Kylee to the Teaching Tribe at Decipher Dance! Miss Kylee is going to be Teaching Singstar Singing Classes at Decipher Dance and We are SOOO pumped!!
Miss Kylee's role will be as a singing/vocal coach. She has been involved in music most of life and after a few years break due to raising two awesome little people she is ready to get back into the music scene.
Her background in music started in high school with singing and playing various musical instruments then continued to a Diploma of Music.
Miss Kylee has performed in several cover bands and theatre shows through Warragul Theatre Company including Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Mis (a few years ago 😉)
In the past year or so she has got her voice back into gear by attending lessons with Roberta Fox from The O’dowd School of Singing.
She is excited to share her knowledge and love for everything music to make classes fun, interesting and challenging.
Miss Kylee is thankful for this opportunity and looks forward to meeting more of the Decipher Dance Family in the future.
Miss Melinda has assisted for a year and is doing a fantastic job. She has danced with Decipher Dance for a few years now, she is a beautiful soul and is committed to her love of dance. Melinda assists with Ballet on a Thursday and is a firm favourite amongst our little ballerinas. Her extensive knowledge in classical is an asset to the budding ballerinas and we are sure that she will continue to blossom in her new role.
Miss Abby is new to the teaching team this year. She completed her work experience in December with us and has accepted the offer to stay on as an assistant this year.
Abby has been dancing with us for a year now and has been a real asset to the team. Her bright and bubbly nature is lovely to have in the studio.
Her favorite style is Tap and her nickname Tabby reflects this (Tap / Abby = Tabby)
Abby is so excited to work with our staff to build her teaching knowledge, but is even more excited to meet and work with her new students.
Fresh to the assisting team Miss Casey is super excited to be working with our teaching staff to learn new skills and help our younger students develop their dance skills.
Casey has danced with us for over 2 years and is a lovely young lady, we know you will love her as much as we do.
She loves dancing and cannot wait to share her love with her new students.
Miss Chantelle is super excited to be assisting with our students. Her love for dance is infectious and she always has beautiful smile on her face. Chantelle has danced with us for a number of years and has shown maturity and poise as she works hard in each class. We are super excited to have her on the teaching team and cannot wait for her to learn and grow in this next stage of her dance career.
As well as studying numerous qualifications in Dance, Joanne has her Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management and has worked overseas for various dance performances.
Joanne has danced on Sesame street and has created and performed in her very own Cabaret events. A kind and gentle teacher, Joanne is looking forward to working with her new students to develop their dance skills, technique and knowledge all whilst having LOTS of fun.
